Detailed information on how Pokémon Nexus collects, uses, and protects your account and gameplay data.
1. Information We Collect
To provide you with a seamless gaming experience, Pokémon Nexus collects the minimum amount of data required to operate the service. This includes:
- Account Information: Your chosen username, email address (if provided for account recovery), and securely hashed passwords.
- Gameplay Data: Your in-game progress, inventory, Pokémon caught, map coordinates, and chat history.
- Technical Data: We log IP addresses and basic browser information. This is strictly used for security purposes, such as identifying account theft, preventing automated bot networks, and enforcing server bans.
2. How Your Data is Used
We do not use your data for targeted advertising. The information we collect is used exclusively for the following operational purposes:
- To authenticate your login and load your saved game progress.
- To operate, maintain, and improve the features of Pokémon Nexus.
- To troubleshoot server bugs and respond to player support requests.
- To enforce our Terms of Service (e.g., detecting multiple accounts used for cheating).
3. Cookies and Tracking
Pokémon Nexus uses "cookies" (small text files stored on your device) solely for essential site functionality. We use session cookies to keep you logged in as you navigate between pages. We do not use third-party tracking cookies, and we do not track your browsing activity across other websites.
4. Data Sharing and Security
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties. Your data remains entirely within the Pokémon Nexus infrastructure.
We take reasonable industry-standard precautions to protect your data, including password encryption and secure server hosting. However, no online service is 100% secure. By playing Pokémon Nexus, you acknowledge that you share information at your own risk. We highly recommend using a unique password for your account.
Pokémon Nexus is not directed at children. In compliance with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and international equivalents, you must be at least 13 years of age to create an account and play this game. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we discover an account belongs to a user under 13, it will be immediately terminated and the data deleted.
5. Your Rights and Choices
You have the right to control your digital footprint on our servers. If you wish to permanently delete your Pokémon Nexus account and erase your associated gameplay and personal data, please contact the administration team via our official support channels (such as our Discord server or support email).
Account deletion requests are permanent and irreversible. Once your data is wiped from our database, your Pokémon and progress cannot be recovered under any circumstances.
